a few things i am currently obsessed with.

white, white, white. Don't ask me why but lately I have been completely obsessed with all things white.  Here are a few of my favorite things these days.

I love these white vases.  I always find beautiful white milk glass at antique stores and garage sales.  I'm slowly beginning to collect them so that we can incorperate in to the living room.

This Christmas I am buying ALL new decorations.  Years ago I bought a bunch of red and gold glittery things and I am so sick of them.  I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby soon to start my new collection.

I am also loving rose gold.  This is nothing new but I finally bought Essie's Penny Talk nail polish and it renewed my obsession.

{inspiration}

a few "food for thought" quotes to get me through a crazy week.  hope you can all find some inspiration in these words as well.

How awesome is Winnie the Pooh?!

I mean really, Winnie the Pooh... SO awesome!!

Need to remind myself of this daily.

Sometimes I just need to take a moment to remind myself to slow down, say a prayer, count my blessings and just RELAX.  I hope everyone has the most beautiful, amazing day!

FREE fall printables... the easiest diy ever!

I love fall.  We may have already gone over this, but I just love it!  So the other day I was browsing online in search of a few new ways to decorate for the season and I came across a TON of free fall/halloween printables.

Yeah, I know we are barely past Labor Day and this one is technically a Thanksgiving printable but I love it too much to wait two more months.

Too cute!!

I hope everyone enjoys these as much as I do!  I think I will be printing some off for every holiday from now on.  The links to the printables are below with instructions on how to print.  Enjoy!

{diy}

a quick, cheap and very easy mini bar

For about a year I have had a vision of a small bar cart type mini bar in our home.  The house we recently moved in to had the perfect little spot for one so I slowly began collecting items to put one together.

I started with a $15 basic black bookshelf from Walmart.  And I thought it was incredibly boring.  So I bought thumb tacks, yea thumb tacks, and created a nice nailhead trim boarder.  It was super easy and with Jeff's help we got it done in less than 10 minutes.

Next, I pulled out all of the items hiding in my kitchen cabinets.  The white bowl, wine glasses, beer mugs and wine decanter were all wedding gifts (from Macy's); the champagne flutes were used for our wedding toast and the shot glasses were collected from some of our favorite vacation spots.  Each one of the items is special and I love to finally have a place to display them!

Off I went to my favorite little HUGE antique store and found the whiskey decanters for around $5 each. I love, love, love whiskey decanters!

[one of them was about half full...and then Jeff had a friend over and I came home to that lol]

I knew I wanted some kind of cute little sign included in our bar so I bought a few silver serving trays from Dollar Tree and some chalkboard paint.

Our mini bar was added for less than $30!  Don't you love that?!  I am very happy with how it turned out and it perfectly fills up the extra space in our dining room.   Now all I need to do is make a trip to liquor store to stock it!

{it's fall ya'll}

happy fall!

I love everything about the season... the crisp cool weather, the clothes, the food. It all screams COZY to me!  Here in Missouri we are slowly beginning to feel the fall weather, although most days are still in the high 80's.  For some people, this would be ideal but THIS girl loves her cold weather!  So here I am, with my warm mug of spiced chai wishing everyone a happy fall.

boy do I love some good layering...

I am so obsessed with this ombre fall wreath, I think it might be next on my project to-do list

This year I am hoping to decorate with a little more white and a little less orange. It's just more... ME. So I am really loving this dining room table decor.

a few things i am currently obsessed with.

Jeff, my lovely husband, and I are in the middle of redecorating our master bedroom (more on that later).  I have been drawn to all white bedrooms but since I learned the art of compromise long, long ago, we are going with a grey and white bedroom.  Here are a few photos that been a source of inspiration.

Feels so crisp and inviting.

Really love the different patterns used on the bedding and the two different night stands. Somehow it all still seems so pulled together.

I love the texture on these beautiful throws. I want them all. On me. Right now.

I love the all white frames with thick white mats. I would love to do three of these across the top of our headboard.

I swear I have dreams about finding a mirrored night stand like this {at an exceptionally reasonable price, of course}. I love the pillows, the headboard, the night stand styling. It's all perfection.
